Billie Eilish Connects with Zane Lowe on Set of the Music Video for LUNCH

In an interview with Zane Lowe on the set of the music video for LUNCH, Billie Eilish opened up about the meaning behind the song's lyrics.

"I could eat that girl for lunch/Yeah, she dances on my tongue/Tastes like she might be the one/And I can never get enough," Eilish sings in the chorus of the song.

Eilish explained that the lyrics are about her experience of falling in love with a woman for the first time.

"I had never felt that way about anyone before," she said. "It was like being hit by a truck. I was so overwhelmed and confused, but I also knew that I had to have her in my life."

Eilish said that writing the song helped her to process her emotions and to embrace her sexuality.

"I'm still figuring things out," she said. "But I'm so grateful for the love that I have in my life. It's made me a stronger and more confident person."

LUNCH is the first single from Eilish's upcoming third studio album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT. The album is scheduled to be released on May 19, 2024.
