Jacob Duffy Added To New Zealand Test Squad For England Series

Nottinghamshire's Jacob Duffy has been added to New Zealand's Test squad for the upcoming series against England.

The 29-year-old seamer has been in excellent form for Nottinghamshire in the County Championship this season, taking 35 wickets in nine matches.

Duffy was born in New Zealand but has played the majority of his cricket in England, and he qualifies to play for the Black Caps through his father.

He has previously represented New Zealand at A team level, and he was part of the squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup, but he has yet to make his Test debut.

Duffy's addition to the squad is a boost for New Zealand, who are without Trent Boult and Matt Henry for the series.

Boult has been rested, while Henry is recovering from a fractured thumb.

Duffy is likely to make his Test debut in the first match of the series, which starts at Lord's on June 2.

England will be a tough test for Duffy, but the seamer is confident that he can make an impact.

"I'm really excited to be joining the Test squad," said Duffy. "It's a dream come true to represent New Zealand at the highest level."

"I know that England will be a tough challenge, but I'm confident that I can make a contribution to the team."
